Our client seeks a Regional Sales Manager for Asia Pacific as part of their ongoing strategic expansion plans. The main focus of attention from a sales perspective will be Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Indonesia and Thailand - although this certainly isn't a definitive list of countries.

Our client is a well-established, successful, growing, multi-award winning manufacturing company based in the West Midlands, supplying engineered products to the oil and gas industry worldwide. They consider themselves as the best at what they do.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your brief will be to build sales throughout Asia Pacific, through new and existing agents, as well as directly with operators and contractors. There is already a substantial client base in the region so a big part of the role is Account Management/Development.

Based in the West Midlands, you should be prepared to spend upto 50% of your time travelling.

To apply for this role you should ideally have a successful track record in technical sales, possibly (although definitely not essentially) gained within the Oil & Gas sector (if Asia Pacific then even better) together with high standards of presentation and discipline, excellent interpersonal skills, aptitude for engineering if not a technical qualification, and the ability to shine on a bad day.
