Sales Manager

An exciting Sales Manager position with a market leading, Midlands based manufacturing group, who design, manufacture & supply & wide range of solutions used by light commercial vehicle fleets throughout all sectors from Utilities to Emergency Services.

The Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of sales development with major & key customers, often requiring the management of multi-level contacts within the UK's largest fleet operators. Most applications are bespoke, designed specifically to the customer's own requirements or specifications and therefore the role requires an individual comfortable in a Technical Sales environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales & business development, being accustomed to developing long term, profitable relationships with large key accounts. A technical / engineering background will be distinctly advantageous, although formal qualifications are not a pre-requisite if practical experience can substitute for this. Key personal attributes will be drive, ambition, tenacity and a naturally inquisitive approach - whilst you will predominantly manage existing customers you should be quite comfortable seeking new avenues for business development and potentially profitable new market segments.
